Intimidation

Recently, I had my second Get Back Your Roar Retreat with some amazing ladies. One of the main things the Lord had me teach on this time was intimacy with God. Intimacy is the key to knowing how to rule and reign as a king in the last days. First Peter 2:9 says that we are a royal priesthood and Revelation 1:6 says that Christ has “made us kings and priests unto God.” Intimacy gives us access to the revelation secrets of God. Intimacy with the Lord is a weapon of warfare and a shield of protection. One of the main tactics of the enemy is get you out of intimacy and worship by using intimidation and fear. A few days before my retreat, I woke myself up in the middle of the night praying and hearing in my spirit “be on the lookout for intimidation and fear”. I prayed through it and went back to sleep. I forgot all about this happening until this morning when I was listening to Graham Cooke talk about intimidation through intimacy.

SHATTERPROOF

I awoke the other morning to the word Shatterproof swirling in my head. I dismissed it at first because I was so tired from the previous day’s activities BUT I kept hearing this word over and over in my head. I then clued in that the Lord was trying to get my attention. Trying to make sense of what was going on, I asked the Holy Spirit to speak to me about this word..shatterproof. He began to share a few things with me. He wants His people to be shatterproof. What does this mean? I believe He wants His people to be able to walk through life confident in who they are in Christ, full of faith not fear, unoffended and not easily angered.

Papa's love

We have a lab named Scout. The other morning the Lord drew my attention to Scout who wanted to curl up in my lap. She wanted to get as close as possible to me. I was a little annoyed because I was trying to drink my coffee and she was causing it to spill. If you knew Scout from the beginning, you would not recognize this odd behavior. She used to never want to be close to you, receive any verbal affirmation or any love you gave her. We always thought she had something wrong with her because she didn’t behave or interact with people like normal labs do. My amazing husband loves dogs and was determined to win Scout over with his love. This was a bit awkward at times because Scout didn’t want to have anything to do with him. Scout was fully and completely loved regardless of anything she did to warrant being loved. He was relentless to pursue her and shower her with love and affection.

No More Fear!

A couple of weeks ago, we spent some time in Colorado. This visit was a huge milestone and a monumental feat in my life. For the first time ever, I drove an ATV on the windy trails of a 12,000 foot mountain in the rain and hail. Let me repeat...I have never been able to do this without crippling fear in my 45 years of life. This may not sound like a big deal to you but let me give you a little backstory.
